Oracle Programming students will learn to:
1. Analyze business scenarios and create a conceptual representation (data model) of an organization’s information as a foundation for design.
2. Categorize components of a database model such as entities, attributes and relationships to create an entity relationship diagrams (ERD).
3. Use the process of normalization to maximize a database’s efficiency and design.
4. Use basic SQL syntax as it relates to the SELECT statement.
5. Physically implement the conceptual database design created in the first course by using SQL and the Oracle corporation’s relational database software.
