Software Engineer – Internal Systems Developer

Position Description:
 Searching for a responsible individual with experience in developing, maintaining, optimizing and deploying a Ruby on Rails internal project management system. The system also utilizes RESTful APIs used by third-party applications like Excel, and
AutoCAD. Responsibilities also include creating and maintaining plug-ins for these applications.

Typical Duties:
Working with our development engineers and internal customers, you will analyze system specifications, evaluate interface
and workflow between users and management and deploy for daily production usage. Other duties include:
• Design, code, test, debug, configure, and document systems software.
• Diagnose and resolve problems. Work with internal customers to ensure system integrity and performance.
• Write and maintain documentation for internal customer’s field usage.
• Produce documentation as reference material for use in resolving problems or design of revisions.

Qualifications and Experience:
Must possess high level of Ruby-on-Rails, MySQL and Relational Database design knowledge, deployment and optimization experience. Possess knowledge of Linux server administration, HTML, CSS, Javascript and JQuery.

Experience with RSPEC (Behavior Driven Development), Git (Distributed Revision Control System), CoffeeScript, JSpec,
Sass, Nginx/Apache, AutoCAD, Flex/ActionScript 3.0/Flash, VB/.NET (legacy systems) a plus.

Reliable transportation and a valid NYS driver’s license are required. Possessing excellent organizational, writing,
troubleshooting, and interpersonal skills for interaction with a variety of customers, vendors and other employees a must.
