This position is accountable for all aspects of ESL’s database platform including database layout, performance, availability, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, monitoring, capacity planning and documentation. This role is responsible for ensuring that quality databases are designed, created, and maintained providing efficient and consistent business operations. This role ensures that the database server software environment is properly maintained, database backups are performed, and that server performance levels are maintained. This individual will be looked upon to provide technical expertise to other team members and evaluate new database solutions and technologies and mentors more junior DBAs.
